“For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them”. Matthew 18:20
Welcome to St Raphael’s Catholic Primary School Website. Our school is situated in South Hurstville and lies on the southern fringes of Sydney.
St. Raphael’s is part of the Sydney Catholic Archdiocese and has a proud tradition of educational excellence, tracing its history back to the arrival of four Sisters of Charity in 1929. With the ongoing support of parents, we will continue to build on the strengths of our wonderful community.
Our hope is that every child’s heart and mind will be touched in a very special way because of their time at St Raphael’s. We hope that the children find it a place of friendship, joy, discovery, challenge, faith and grace. We hope they leave our school knowing that they can make our world a better place by the way in which they live their life.
The staff members of St Raphael’s are aware of the privilege in sharing with parents the role of educating children in the many facets of human and faith development. Together we work to enable each child to develop his/her full potential and uniqueness as an individual within the context of a Catholic community. The challenges in education are becoming more complex in this rapidly changing world, but what we do on a daily basis at St Raphael’s is share in the journey of our students as they discover who they are, what they are capable of achieving, and what their place and responsibility is in the world.
The words of our Mission Statement express and hold the key to the centre of energy that gives meaning to all of our endeavours at St Raphael’s. Many communities in our world long for peace and harmony. We believe that we can make a difference through what we do and how we do it on a daily basis as we continue to strive to live in a spirit of harmony, committed to be messengers of hope and healing in our world.
I welcome you to the St Raphael’s website and invite you to learn more about our wonderful school.
